About the Firm
Before he was a lawyer, Brandon was a professional baseball umpire: five leagues, seven playoff series, two All-Star Games. His clients trust him because he has been around their world his entire life.
Today he leads Leopoldus Law, APC from Culver City, California, serving athletes, entertainers, teams, and the advisors who support them. He has served as interim general counsel for D.C. United, sits on the Board of Directors of the Sports Lawyers Association, and teaches sports law as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School.
The Approach
Brandon worked professional baseball as an umpire across five leagues, seven playoff series, and two All-Star Games before practicing law. He learned the business of sports from inside the lines, and his practice is built on that fluency.
Athletes and entertainers already have agents, advisors, and managers. Brandon coordinates the legal work with that team, reviews what crosses his desk, and keeps every advisor pulling in the same direction.
Brandon litigates when a fight is the right call, and he prefers to make the fight unnecessary. Contracts structured correctly at signing rarely see a courtroom.
As an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School and a frequent speaker, Brandon trains the lawyers and advisors who will serve the next generation of athletes and entertainers.
