Leopoldus Law, APC
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Leopoldus Law, APC (the "Firm," "we," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with leopoldus.com, including its subpages and the Athlete City Guide at leopoldus.com/cityguide (together, the "Site").
This policy covers the Site only. Information you share with the Firm as a client or prospective client in the course of legal representation is protected by professional-responsibility rules and the attorney-client privilege, which provide stronger protections than this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. We collect the information you submit through forms on the Site:
- Name and email address (playbook downloads, consultation requests, and the City Guide);
- Your role (athlete, parent, agent, advisor, or similar), where a form asks;
- The message you write when you request a time to talk; and
- Which resource you requested (for example, which playbook).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site and its hosting provider receive standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URL. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests the font files.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the Site.
2. How We Use Information
- To deliver what you requested (a playbook, a reply to your message, a scheduled call);
- To respond to inquiries and follow up on consultation requests;
- To send occasional Firm resources and updates, from which you can unsubscribe at any time;
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
Service providers. We use a small set of providers to run the Site and the Firm’s communications: website hosting (Vercel), form and lead storage (Google Workspace, including Google Sheets), email (Google Workspace), and scheduling (Calendly, if you book a call). These providers process your information to provide their services to us.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Business transfers. If the Firm’s practice is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may transfer with it, subject to the professional-responsibility rules that govern law practices.
No sale. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers.
4. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion of that information (subject to legal exceptions), the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA, so no opt-out of sale is needed. To exercise any of these rights, email brandon@leopoldus.com or call (323) 682-0511. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the time the law requires.
5. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13). If you believe a child under thirteen has submitted information through the Site, email brandon@leopoldus.com and we will delete it. For users between thirteen (13) and seventeen (17), we encourage parents and guardians to be part of any submission to the Site.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information the Site collects, including encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not submit confidential details about a legal matter through the Site; save those for a privileged conversation.
7. Data Retention
We keep form submissions for as long as we need them to respond, to maintain a record of our communications, and to meet our professional and legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time by emailing brandon@leopoldus.com, and we will honor the request unless a legal or ethical duty requires us to keep the record.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
The Site uses a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage entries, all functional:
- A cookie that remembers you completed a download or City Guide form, so we do not ask you again (kept for up to one year);
- A browser storage entry with the name and email you submitted, used to prefill and to remember your request; and
- No analytics or marketing cookies are set by the Site today. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The Site works without them; you may simply see a form again. Because there is no accepted standard for Do Not Track signals, the Site does not respond to them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on the Site with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
