The Agent Needed
A Firm Behind Him.

A certified NBA agent with a growing roster, a patchwork of contract templates inherited from a prior firm, and three deals in flight with no dedicated legal backbone. We became the agency's outsourced legal operation.

The Situation

No Firm On Retainer,
Three Deals In Flight.

The agent had built a respectable roster, including two second-contract veterans, three draft-eligible prospects, and a handful of international clients. His prior firm relationship had ended.

His current templates were a mix of inherited documents of uneven quality. He had three endorsement deals moving and two Athlete LLCs that needed to form before the next payment cycle.

He needed a legal partner who could move at agent-speed without sacrificing quality, understood certification constraints, and would not treat every call like a billable trigger.

The Work · The Template Library
Our Approach

We stood up a dedicated flat-fee engagement for the agency: unlimited LLC formations at a fixed per-entity rate, turnkey redlines on endorsement agreements inside 72 hours, an agency-wide template library covering representation agreements, NIL term sheets, appearance-fee letter agreements, and a standing endorsement-deal term sheet the agent could send to brands himself.

We built a compliance calendar for NBPA certification renewals, state-registration obligations for non-player activities, and quarterly check-ins with the agent to review roster movement. And we kept a short-form intake process for any new client so formation paperwork could be out the door within one business day of a signed representation agreement.
